CENTRAL NAVARRE
_
Etayo is in the Ega valley, at the foot of the elongated Sierra de San Gregorio, the Codés mountain range followed by Lokiz, Monjardín and Montejurra. Estella is the closest city.
A PLACE WITH HISTORY
_
Etayo was declared a royal town by King Theobald II in 1234. Carlos II handed it over to Beltrán Vélez de Guevara and it later became a dependency of Fernando de Baquedano and the church at Gollano which inherited it from him. In 1369, it was sold together with Oco and Riezu to Miguel Pérez of Ciriza.
GASTRONOMY OF THE AREA
_
In the central part are abundant dryland plains and irrigated orchards, where the asparagus and pepper are outstanding, where good D.O. Navarre wine is also produced. For those people who like to enjoy good food, heading into the mid-Navarre area is almost essential.
FUN THINGS TO DO
–
The house has a large games room in the basement, with a small frontón, darts, table tennis and board games to enjoy. There are also outdoor activities, as the house has an adjoining green area with garden furniture where you can have a barbecue. Although it is quite small, Etayo has a wide range of activities and places to visit nearby: wineries and restaurants, for example, as well as natural areas.
